An awareness of the relationship between number and quantity is essential for long term success with math and begins here in Kindergarten. Matching numbers and quantities of objects, counting on & finding ‘one more’ are covered here with Worksheets and Digit Teaching Resources.
Worksheet Sets
Set 1: Matching Quantity to a Number
Given numbers from 1 to 10, pupils color in the appropriate number of objects (Hedgehogs).
At the same time, they write in the numbers as they color, counting as they go along, connecting quantity, numbers and cardinality.
Set 2: One More …
Given a set of objects from 1 to 10, pupils have to write down the number that matches. There is space to write in the numbers as they count forward from 1.
They are then asked to write down the number that is ‘one more’ than the number of objects shown. The pupils are learning to ‘count on’ without the visual aid of an additional object.
Set 3: Matching Quantity to a Number up to 20
Pupils are given a quantity of objects and they must choose the correct answer from 3 numbers shown.
This Set of Worksheets has 3 levels:
-1 to 10 objects in each question
-1 to 20 objects in each question
-10 to 20 objects in each question
How many Worksheets are in each set ?
Lots and lots. There are 8 questions on a Worksheet. At the click of a button the numbers and their position on the Worksheets randomly change, so you can create lots of different pages for your pupils to practice with.
Answers are automatically generated every time.
Digital Teaching Material
These are designed to help you introduce the content of the worksheets to the whole class on an Interactive Whiteboard, or on a PC or Mac for 1-1 tuition and again you have (almost) unlimited examples to practice with.
There is one Digital Teaching Resource to accompany Set 1 & 2 Worksheets

These (almost) unlimited Worksheets will enable your pupils not only to practice counting forwards and backwards within 4 ranges of numbers, but if needed practice one range as many times as needed .
Each question contains space for 5 terms of a sequence
The ranges of number in the worksheets are:
1-20: 3 numbers are visible, pupils have to find the missing 2 terms.
1-50: 2 numbers are visible, pupils have to find the missing 3 terms.
1-100: 1 numbers is visible, pupils have to find the missing 4 terms.
1-120: 1 number is visible, pupils have to find the missing 4 terms.
Unlimited Worksheets ?
You choose one of the 4 ranges by clicking on 1 of 4 buttons, which randomise the numbers within the range, so there’s lots of opportunity to practice at each level.
You can also blank out all the spaces, so pupils can create their own worksheet.
An Answer sheet is created automatically.
